started my motor today it runs well. but the vacuum hoses are giving me a problem. if i try to splice them like the diagram says it will cut off. plus the connection on top of tb is broke off, shoul i just tap a fitting?

 

taping a fitting sounds good, or just buy a slighty smaller metal pipe and hammer it into the hole of the original tube. the diff in diameter shouldt be a big deal.
