Has anyone bought the EDFC for a set of tein ss?? I want to know if the unit will allow the hood to close when installed?? The car would be a 95 civic coupe with GSR motor.

 

I am pretty sure that is a negative.

 

The EDFC doesn't work on the SS model. Only on the Type FLEX model.

actually, it will work on the HA as long as it clears the hood, but i think HA's may be discontinued.

 

They don't support them here.

I believe the SS replaced the HA's.

They should work on the SS np, the only problem would be hood clearance.

 

I'm pretty sure they state specifically that they will not work with the SS.

according to this the SS should work, like I said earlier the problem would be top hood fitment issues.

 

Im purdy sure a shop up here has the EDFC hooked up to the SS, they told me it will work with the FLEX/SS...but its gay no sway bars can be used

 

Well my experience with Tein goes as far as the SS's siting in my living room waiting to be installed. When I looked up civics it said EDFC not available. I got the GSR kit which appears to be compatiable but for anyone who gets the EH2/3 kit it says SS's aren't.

Who knows. I wouldn't want that kind of adjustablility unless it was the family car anyway.

 

to fit edfc onto an ek u have to notch ur hood with the flex , and i know the other dampers are higher than the flex..........
