How well do these engines respond to boost? I would be getting the drag turbo kits that is coming out this summer. I would also probably get some custom sleeves made, and new fuel system...So do you think this engine would make decent power or would it be a complete waste of time...

 

My D17A2 made 197hp at only 8psi.... (previously 107hp no boost)

And the block is completely stock.

 

how much did you spend total on your turbo(install included)

 

197whp ? Thats pretty good. How much did you spend all together? Hows it running? And what do you run 1/4 mile . .

 

The kit could be replicated for about 6k (yeah, I know, it's high, but this is a very nicely built, show quality kit, installed and tuned on the dyno).

Have not run 1/4 yet (boost controller problems, lack of decent tires). Hoping for this weekend in Houston if my trailer arrives by then.

Car is running perfectly, have not had any problems at all since the turbo install in November, and it's been about 3k miles since then.
