I ask this because there was a brand new one at the last autox race (wish i would have brought my digital camera). Everyone was looking at it. I know the guy brought it on a trailer and thought i heard him say it isn't yet street legal in the U.S. That car was incredible. The interior had everything you needed, nothing extra. Wish i could have taken some pics for you guys to see.

 

It's not legal in the U.S., not even close. Interestingly enough, a British car magazine said that the world's 3 most perfect sports cars were the McLaren F1, the Lotus Elise, and...the Integra Type R. There is an article in a recent car magazine, either Road and Track or Car and Driver, which profiles a company that puts slightly modded ITR engines in the engine bay of an Elise. The 0-60 time on the "Elise Type R" is like low-to-mid 4's. sick.
