Brake problems!!!!!
Ok changed front pads and rotors the other day. Opened the cap on the m/c to relieve pressure to push the caliper cylinders in and now I have no brakes. I've blead all 4 corners about 5 times now. The fronts are the only ones with air in them. I've blead the m/c to be safe all 4 corners in order and still cann't get air out of the fronts. I've looked at the inner seal and no fluid that I can see. I'm stumped to hell and back. Any ideas????
did you go passenger front driver rear driver front passenger rear? did you have someone stomping on the break? did you no let the fluid drop below the min mark? did you have the top on the m/c tight when you did it? did you disconnect the break lines and then get one of the break line ends dirty? if youo did it wouldn't seal properly
yeah did one front then opposite rear then front the rear again. Yeah I had someone using the brake pedal. M/C is full. No brake lines disconected. Well now I have no futher air after another hour of bleeding now it wont keep pressure. M/C shot I'm starting to think
with the car OFF press on the brake pedal repeatedly to see if the pedal gets firmer and firmer until the point where you can't press anymore. if that happens then the MC is good.
i never bleed the brakes according to the book and always go from the furthest point from the reserviour (sp?) to the closest. this would be PR,DR,PF,DF (p=passenger, d=driver, r=rear, f=front).

yeah its building pressure then give it a few seconds and then its like never pumped up. Then with the car running the pedal goes stright to the floor with no resistance. Theres no air in the lines at all.....At first there was but after spending an hour its finally gone just will not hold pressure
thats what I was starting to think....Thought something else may have been it because was getting alot of air but let it sit for a while and bleed them again now it will not keep pressure. Going to advance auto and get another one today, will let know how its works out

when bleeding the brakes, put a small piece of wood under the pedal. the brake pedal shouldn't be pressed to the floor when bleeding the brakes. i have read that going to the floor with the brake pedal can blow out the MC...
also pushing on the brake pedal too hard/quick can blow out the MC. never let an impatient person "help" bleed your brakes.

When you bleed the brakes by pumping the pedal, you are pushing the seals and rod into areas in the MC where they rarely go. If this area is corroded, it could scar the seals and cause the problems you are having.
I would have to go with the impatient pedal pusher.....He was going what I thought was extremly quick, gonna replace that first then get one of the single person bleaders from Napa and see if I can do it alone. I've done it and never had any problems but that is verrrry possable about blowing the seals that way.....WTG breaka I never knew that
