hey guys, my brother's car got hit while it was parked outside of our house. His driver's side mirror is now broken and im looking for a replacement one. i was wondering if the 2dr is different from the 4dr or are they interchangeable? thanks for any info, thanks!
99-02 accord mirrior are the same.
only the dx model dont come with painted surface.
98 come with non-adjustable/fixed mirror
oh yeah..no power mirror for dx too
sedan and coupe's are interchangeable

I replaced the side mirror on my '99 LX sedan. The MSRP for a new mirror is $200, though it comes in the color of your car (that is, it doesn't need to be painted). I picked it up off an internet site for $150, but when I checked with them a few months ago they no longer sold parts like that (only add-ons). The price will be cheaper from a junk yard, of course, if you can find one. Be sure to write the car's color code from the inside of the driver's door before calling or looking for a new one, you will want an exact match (since it is pre-painted).
Do the work yourself, it is relatively easy to change. The only pain is taking the panel off of the door (the power / control connectors are attached behind the panel). Pick up a Haynes manual for specific instructions on how to take the panel off and how to take the mirror off (for the mirror, you pry off the plastic piece on the inside of the car, prying from the lower-left corner, there are two clips in there, then you would undo the four bolts you see and the mirror is free, but I can't remember how to take the panel off from memory).
In the back of Car & Driver magazine there are a few places listed that sell Honda parts (magauto is one of them), try calling them and see if they'll sell it to you for cheaper than $200.
