Default out of curiosity

hi,
i'm new here, so sorry if this is in the wrong place/ has been asked eleventy billion times. I have a 94 civic lx (4 door, manual). My main focus is on car audio, its a big hobby of mine, and thats what i'm gearing the car towards. However, when i'm done with the system (probably mid summer), i'll be ready to shift my finances towards other things. So, i am thinking about making it faster and trying to keep it hush hush. I'm not much into racing my car, because quite frankly it is slow. And i do not hope to run 12s, because it would take so much money and its a daily driver with 146k+ miles and i dont wanna screw it up. So, what would it take to make it run....say...a low-mid 15? I know it will probably take a good deal just to get it to that time, but please just lemme know what it would take probably assuming i am a good driver and the car is in good condition. sorry for the length.

oh my bad, i thought that time would be enough....well i dont wanna name a budget cause the budget i name might not be able to reach low-mid 15s. Know what i mean? I really dont have a budget planned out, but i dont wanna spend more than like a grand or 2 cause like i said the goal of my car isn't to be fast, i just want a little something to mess around with lol. Ok so...lets say 1000 bucks. And if i cant reach low-mid 15s with that (which i dont think i can) lets say 2000bucks, cause i dont really have a budget planned. I'm just gathering ideas. Thanks a lot.

thanks for the replies guys. But i cant help but think: "i can just add one or 2 more Gs to that and buy a good 5.0 and run 14s stock." And please dont start flaming. I just dont like the idea of turboing my daily driver when i could get a 5.0 as a secondary and do better easily. I guess its all in the mindset or something. Thanks though.

Thats a pretty tight budget.. my advice would be to buy a fresh d16z6 ($600), intake ($100), exhaust ($400), good tires ($350) and a used ZEX system to do a 55 shot ($350). The total would be like $1800, and you'd probably be in the high 14s on the bottle.

Yeah, that's the first thing that came to my mind: Bolt-ons and a Bottle = cheap fun
