Just came back from the junk yard, 50% off all day, just clearing junk out for new junk I guess. Anyways...... I came up on rear disks from a DA, everything with the rear trailing arm including e-brake cables..............$58!!!!! Just wanted to share my excitement with the fellow H-T heads

 

Man thats a deal! Evertime I go to one of those things they never have ANYTHING useful. Some people just luck out!

 

Next time there's another sale day like that i'll try to head there at the butt-crack-o-dawn. Our local Ecology for imports usually has a few Ef's but almost never anything newer than that. Ef's get raped with the quickness as it is.

 

I once went to sale that charged $25 and you could grab all you want as long as you could fit it through the door on the way out. Well me and a friend were there on a thur. and found out it was that Sat. so we went around and checked everything out ahead of time and lossend bolts and coverd stuff up and on Sat. morn we got there early, walked straight to our cars and just finished removing everything. We pretty much took everything good for imports.

 

I don't think they ever have any kind of sales in my area at junkyards, but it would be nice!!!

 

dammit i missed it!! i didnt even hear about a 50% off day!!

 

i was there with baytall and the DA had a pretty good b18a block. i heard the blocks are 70 bux half off.!!! but that was snagged rather quickly. i got my rear discs for probably 150 on a different half off day. lucky bastardo

 

Well I just finished the swap, it went pretty smoothly, just time consuming. I have yet to get the proportioning valve, actually I'm probably not going to get is since I kinda like the way it's biased to the front keeping the fronts on the ground. If anybody thinks otherwise please let me know. It already feels like it has twice as much stopping power. Fobtions swapped out his P-valve and wishes he hadn't.

 

baytall and fobtions, you should come out to the autocross on the 19th at qualcomm (this saturday) i would like to meet more people from san diego

 

Thanks for the invitation ED6, me and fobtions have been planning on starting up, but there's a ton of suspension work I still need to do. I'm currently running some horrible coil-over sleeves I got for free. I plan on throwing them off the coronado when I get some GC's

 

right on, well you two should swing out on saturday and scope it out, i will be out there racing. you can spot me pretty easily i have the only hatchback with team sdx racing on it. plus a black painted hood instead of my CF one
