Default Need help. Come on, someone's gotta know...

The motor is a ITR motor with Endyn 12:1 pistons, header, stock cams, stock head port, chipped P28 Skunk program.
We installed TWM ITBs on it today.
310s ran like ****. Too much black smoke.
270s ran decent, but still sputtering and smoke.
240s ran okay.. no smoke, but still some hesitation.
We've tried different fuel pressure settings from 19psi up to 40psi to no avail.
The plugs were fouled, so we put new plugs in and it still sputtered. Could it be the Skunk program? Is there any unknown trick that I haven't heard of?

Also, what should we do about the PCV system? The car does not have an aftermarket catch can. Is it a necessity?

Also, does anyone know how to cure the problem with the throttles sticking occasionally? Different spring? Are they available from TWM?

Thanks for any help. Much appreciated. Keep in mind I've been out of the game for a long *** time, and I am a dumb *** when it comes to individual throttle bodies. I'm a rookie on this.

I've helped otu mad people with advice, so maybe someone can throw me some knowledge. Thanks again!

ok, skunk program runs really rich

next,

TWM uses a newer spring/chain(whatever it is) to keep the throttle plates from sticking open. they fixed the problem after many people reported this happening.

if those are jared's itb's those are the older version, so you would probably need to call TWM and get the newer piece.

Using a preprogrammed off the shelf ECU program, of course larger injectors will run too rich. That needs to be tuned for real.

with all due respect, typically you wont find anyone who knows the answer to publicly provide it - as its how some of the more experienced tuners make their money. understandable, and again all due respect to all.

Mike, my buddy wants to buy your car if it's for sale. I know the Toda's were for sale a while ago. Maybe the whole car is now.

Take care brother

no problem, just saying if you are going to be a good tuner, you shouldnt charge an arm and a leg for just some help and answering a few questions. should they charge good money for their expertise on the dyno and building and installs, yes...but knowledge should be shared in most cases
