Best Motoring S2000 Fun *vid*
I don't know if this has been posted but it is the 7/99 debut of the S2000 on Best Motoring. It starts with Gan-san talking with the director of Honda. The BM crew then takes one out the 0-400m and drops the clutch at about 7k + running a 14 flat.

yeah i've seen this. this is the best s2k video ever, its very comprehensive and checks everything. all of the s2k's performed well and received high praise except the black one in the circuit race(against the rx-7, caterham, nsx, etc).
gansan even mentioned that the s2k was not running normal, it wasn't broken in right...that is why it was slower than the other ones hes driven previously.
my favorite part is where that guy in the red s2k is doing the rural runs on that twisty road, i've seen an s2k drift like that

btw, the guy also said that the reason why he ran 14.0 is b/c of antiwind and the fact that the motor wasn't broken in all teh way. s2k's are known to hit 13.8 bone stock.

its a good vid for people who havent seen it. But it is sooo old. Also keep in mind that the s2k also improved since the originals. I like the transparent s2k in the beginning and the convertible top competition

Yep ... I don't know how many launches at that high rpm the tranny would take, though. I can see why people are running slower times ... most people at the track probably don't want to launch that aggresively.
My favorite part of the video was the rurals, too. When the guy pulls up he is smiling and saying the car handles like an 86 with 1,000,000 yen put into it.
