Default Wheel hop between 1-2 shift

Hi all, sorry if this is a dumb question. I notice a considerable amount of wheel hops between 1-2 shift at redline. Is it my driving style had some problem? Or everyone's R act like that? Will stiffer engine mount or add a engine damper cure the problem? Or is it the clutch disc? I don't think it is the tire as it didn't slip (stock RE010). My R is bone stock. Any insight will be greatly appreciate! Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response!
I am running 32-33 psi all around, so how much should I lower the pressure? Just the front of all 4 of them?
And sorry I am dumb, but what exactly means "don't shift so hard"?
Thanks again!

It means don't shift as hard and as fast as you possibly can. Shift fast if you like, but let out the clutch a little more slowly. As long as it doesn't drop out of VTEC you'll be fine, and there isn't any reason to be power shifting around town.

Exactly. Aside from that, shifting hard doesn't make you any faster.

You need stickier tires or be more gentle on your power delivery. You're putting down more power than your front tires have gripe.

The wheelhop doesn't hurt anything does it?

Also, I would adjust your tire pressure to what it says in the door jam. It will make a noticable improvment in handling.

My Energy Suspension motor mounts cut my wheel hop by 80% but i still have a tiny bit with real aggresive launches. The Trade off is in the added vibration in the steering wheel and pedals.

Try just shifting like normal driving situations (like around town), but alot faster.

You don't drop the clutch around town and you don't slam the gears around town.. so if you copy that but faster, you won't have problems.

Listen to your tires, just chirp them slightly, don't let them spin..

Do I need the whole kit, or just the motor mount inserts?

Nevermind, I searched and answered my question. Seems like a PITA to install though..
