anyone know if these ADVAN slicks are intended for RR/AX or Drag Racing?
my question is, would they be good for Drag Racing?
i know this is the AutoX forum, but i thought ya'al might be familiar with this tire.

they are intended for road racing and have stiff side walls, A set of MT will work better if you are in Drag racing. BTW, where can you get the Advan slicks and how much do they go for? I'm also in the tri state area and I'm interested in getting a set.

 

buying a barely used set from someone i know.

 

if they are a good deal buy them and sell them to a person who will use them for their intended purpose. Than go get some MT or BFG DR's. You will want to run low pressure and a soft sidewall for the launch.

 

the very hard sidewall will give you fits at the drag strip. My autocross/track tires dont hook up worth a damn on the "launch" at pit out.
