PW0 ecu repair?
i bought a ecu a while back from this one guy, and he sold me a broken ecu basically.. it always leaves the number 4 injector open.. it floods the cylander.. it floods it soo much that fuel will leak out the exhaust manifold
i was just curious if there is any way to repair a ecu? maybe chipping the ecu would that work? any input would be great.
thanks

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY too much trouble to find someone who knows enough about the ecu and its circuits/chips to know exactly what to tackle. I doubt a performance upgrade chip would fix it. Just buy a new ecu.
BTW, who told you it was the ecu for sure? What about wires, distribuotr etc?

we knew it was the ecu, because we used that ecu and had the problem.. then switched over to a different ecu and didn't have the problem anymore.

We could probably repair that ECU for not a whole lot of money. And if we couldn't, we would not charge you anything.

well then there you go, give this guy a shot. i like the if we can't fix it no charge part. good deal, heheh
Oh and Jaker, for the sake of the forum and your expertise with the ecu, what would be some of the things youd look for on the ecu first, and how would you go about solving it generally speaking?
