4th Gen Swaybar help
I did a search and did not find too much in the way of what I need here. Well I have 3 pics here of whats is going on, I have a bolt that has a "D" shape on the end before the threads, I have my trailing arm with the same "D" shape in it, it looks to be in about the right spot, but the 2 "D" shapes do not exactly fit together. It is really tight, I would probably have to dremel the trailing arm out a little if this is the right spot. My other question is where do I mount the 2 small brackets that hold the bar in place to the rear cross member? I did not see the 4 holes needed, do I have to drill them? I would really like to get this on my car, a stock swaybar is better than what I have now; NOTHING! Anyway if someone can help me out here, I would like to get this project completed, I am tired of tripping over the damn swaybar in the garage. If anyone has a pic of where everything mounts up to that would be awesome so I can reference off of it, especally for a 4th gen. Or if you want to draw arrows to where things should bolt up, that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.
"D" shaped Bolt

Really bad image, but "D" shaped hole in trailing arm right in the middle of the pic.

Underneath side of the car.

Thanks for the replies, I think I might be able to go off the pics for the 5th gen install. I think this will work. I have had the rear lower tie bar on for over 3 years, so I hope it doesnt interfere with my installation. Thanks for the replies.
Hope this still helps but here is where the stock bar was mounted, top was held on by a bolt, the bottom was just clipped in. Do you need to see how the endlinks were moutned as well?

actually on second thought, your missing a bracket... if you look in this picture you can see the blue dot and the clean black where the bracket was mounted, it was on that bracket that the bushing was set in....
cool thanks for the pics. Is that on a 4th gen or 5th gen? I would love to have a set of ST sway bars on my car, but right now the car is on a budget. Yeah pics of the end links would be cool also if you can.
also just a fyi this web site has the rear bar by S/T for 130.90. Not too expensive. It's where I got the set from. But I really don't think you need the front..

by not having that bracket, I realized that this is a total waste. I think I am going to sell the bar on ebay and save up for the ST bar. How did you mount the 2 pieces that support the bar on the cross member? Did you have to drill them in or what? Did it make a huge difference having the rear bar. I had a set of ST sway bars for about a day until we realized there were parts missing so I sent them back, this was also 2 years ago.
No Drilling necessary, they are simply bolted on using the sub frame bolts that are already there. I'd say it was the absolute cheapest suspension upgrade that actually made a difference. Not as much lean in corners. I'm still on the original suspension and the real reason I got the whole kit was that the factory front bar was squeaking like a door in a 100 year old abandonded house. IMO it's a great upgrade.

I could be wrong though.
