GSR Cluster soon to go in my car... Don't you love when things go RIGHT?! =)
So I've been reading all these topics about how simple installing a GSR cluster in my 91 ED is going to be, so I start looking for one to put in my hatch since I need the 8k+ tach for my B16a.
BAM. On a local racing board, a guy that bought 1994 GSR junk chassis for his 1995 DX is selling the cluster to the 1994 GSR he has left over. SWEET. Then I start thinking, I need the plugs for the back of the cluster. Damn. I hit the guy up and he doesn't have them. ****.
A local Honda builder that had GOOGLES of parts at his house decides to join the board back again after going AWOL for a year or so. Not even thinking about this cluster issue, I ask him about an alternator I've needed for a while now. $20, it's mine. I go to his house to pick it up and there is literally a PILE of Honda harnesses laying in a box. I ask if he's got a 92-94 cluster harness for this 1994 GSR cluster I wanna buy. He digs and comes up with one. Sweet. Also, I bank a new resister box, because mine was lost, and we put in a 90-something accord one that plugged in, but looks funny in my engine bay. I walk out with the alternator, complete harness, and the Resister box for $25. SWEET.
Today, I get online and the guy with the cluster is looking for B series turbo parts. I happen to have my old Deltagate laying aroudn since I bought a Tial a week ago. A few Messages later, we set up to meet TONIGHT and swap cluster for Wastegate.
And it all happened tonight, the cluster plugged into the harness I picked up perfectly, and I've got everything I needed. SWEEEET! I am SO STOKED!!!
Ahhhh. Goooood Day.
Oh, yeah. Plus, my new precision Turbo came in today. Pics to come of that.
Just some reading material for any interested, or that know my car. Thanks for stopping by.
