sorry to bring this from the dead, but im currently going to run a mini me setup with a y8 head and z6 block. confirm me that its going to work, but with the parts #, y motor and z motor uses different studs and bolts. so what would i get it for? do i get it for the head or for the block? and if im going turbo, what do i need, studs or bolts? whats the difference? i know one is bolts and one is studs. thanks.

You can torque down studs more than bolts. Stock head bolts might stretch when the motor gets boost and cause a blown headgasket. The studs are stronger and able to be torqued down more.

as far as torque specs, DO NOT go over 5 lbs over stock honda specs or you will warp your head....
You can use the standard Y8 studs with any 96-20 civic head (except the HX model engine)
