This is for maplights in a civic, tho in a teg should be the same. One can be put in by tapping off of the dome light, slide a wire through (if you dont have a sunroof. You will want to make the wire into a Y because the Teg had two lights, so individual power for each switch.

If someone can come up with a procedure to retrofit the OEM cruise control from a GS-R into an ITR, even though it takes hundreds of dollars of parts and 40+ hours of labor, I'm sure someone can do the same thing to retrofit the OEM map lights from a GS-R...

Sorry to thread-jack, but do you have any threads about your carputer, your plans for it, etc.? I'm planning to do one as well, and your list of other plans actually corresponds to mine as well. I'm 100% complete on the parts for a HID retrofit (except I'm using Bosch bixenon projectors), but I haven't started on the carputer at all, and the K20 is still a dream.

Back on-topic, it seems to me it should be pretty easy to buy a regular Integra maplight, either used from someone parting their car out, or at acuraparts247.com, and just install it by wiring it into the dome light as someone else posted. I imagine you'd have to cut a small hole in the headliner, and hopefully any nuts needed will already be welded in.

It would seem pretty easy in my eyes.

-Get yourself a Integra Map Light
-Remove your headliner
-Cut an opening that will accomodate the housing of the maplight
-Take the White/Red wire going to the ceiling light, splice into that wire and run a new wire towards the front of the car, where the maplight will be
-Split that wire into 2, either by soldering a "Y" or butt connecting a 2 wire split onto the wire you just ran.
-Connect the wires to one end of the spot lights
-Ground the other end of the spotlight with 2 seperate wires to a spot on the roof or a pillar

Check out the link in my sig. I am documenting and updating it as I go. Maybe I'll even throw a page or two in for a map light retrofit...
