seriously it kinda varies by state... if youre talking about putting it in the back that is illegal everywhere... up front it might slide by your local police depending on front license plate laws in your area, and the disposition of the cop...

i've been driving with the plate on for a week already, i pass by a cop like 3 times and nothing happen maybe they didnt c it

 

I know some states (Not where I live, IL) allow you to run a vanity plate in front, like a sports team logo and things like that. I guess it would pretty much be the same since it's not really like that plate is licensed to someone else.

 

i dont really think its illegal to have that plate, its the fact that you dont have a US/state issued plate. i know in the state of Washington its like a 71 dollar ticket for no front plate (i have been told)...but i dont know first hand, cuz i havent been pulled over for it yet (yet meaning that my plate is in my glove box )...
