Went to watch OTC yesterday! First Real Racing Experience.
I went to watch Open Track Challenge yesterday at Thunderhill yesterday, it was definitely fun. I would like to get into road racing, especially after watching the races yesterday. It was so exhilerating, and I wasn't even on the track...
I am going to work on getting my competition licenses this summer, any recommendations on what schools to go to? I live in Nor Cal.

You can attend the once a year SFR SCCA competition driver's school. The SFR SCCA comp school was in March. You can start to get your "stuff" ready by next year. Or you can work your way to your comp license with N.A.S.A. I race with both SCCA and N.A.S.A., I went to the SCCA comp school last year and had my credentials applied towards my N.A.S.A. comp license.
OR you can spend the money and go to Russel or Skip Barber.
I live in Norcal also.

Sounds good, I wanna get my "stuff" so to speak ready by next year, I just wanna know the best places to go etc.
It was actually at thunderhill...
here are some pics...
notice how in the first pic the cars are away from the grass on the exit line of the turn. then notice on the second pic how the pulp racing nsx is way outside?
well it was a cool place to take photos because when either the nsx or s2000 driven by the pulp crew would come out of the turn, they would have at least 3 tires schreaching and be less than 6 inches from the grass on exit. 2 of the 10 or less laps I saw them come out of this turn. they put 2 wheels off.
if they lost control they would have barreled down right at me and other people with only a small stack of tires and a standard concrete wall maybe 24-30" high inbetween us and the car.
I wanted to take pics of the wimps who were talking like girls when the car would come barreling out of the corner. I could have had some valuable blackmail pics.
