Foglight bulb problem..WTF! ive never seen anthing like it!
Alright, if you cant see it, its a combiniation of purple grey and blue...
When i bought the replacement bulb, i noticed the tip wasnt a point like my other one, could that be it? Its a 55w bulb..
ANy ideas!?
This bulb was in my JDM headlights for 6 days, before i noticed it was out...
Look like it burnt out with a bang.
Maybe you get a bad one. If is was oil or water they usually explode, yes?

No, sometimes they burn out & look just like that. If you get fingerprints on the glass, then its not as clear as it should be. Then the bulb gets way hotter than it was designed for. Sometimes the glass envelope starts to melt, & blows up like a balloon before it bursts.

I had an amber wedge bulb that looked like that over time.
The funny thing was, was that it still worked! tho it emitted more of a clear'ish color..
(however it became that way, musta gave those guys at sylvannia the idea to make those crystal colored amber bulbs)
