Default skunk2 mani on gsr w/stock ecu

how good would the skunk2 mani do for a gsr with the stock ecu?
rite now i got i/h/e testpipe. im looking into the skunk2 mani.. but i owned this other gsr with the same mods as me but with the mani.. off a roll so it wasnt driver.. i really think the single stage doesnt get used as well with the vtec commin on at 4400 what do you think? sides.. i got a 2000 gsr.. i would need to get a harness and a p72 obd1 and thats gonna be cake.. but the mani is cheap its like 285 anywhere .. feel like just slapping it on.. oh yea.. plus i would have to custom my CAI rite?

Youll have to get an intake designated for an ITR < or fabricate your own.

I wouldnt put a Skunk2 IM on prior to cams and ecu, but that is just me. I was happy that I went cams > ecu > skunk2 manni/tb.

Installing the Skunk2 or "slapping it on" as you described it sounds great - if you want power from 6000-8300 rpm while sacrificing low end torque. Think about where you want to make power, and plan your mods from there.

This is not necessarily true --- with cams and some headwork, youll gain plenty, without losing anything. Skunk2 IM by itself wont be great - and if thats what you mean, Im sorry. Just trying to clarify for the kid who cant post pics

i put that skunk manifold on my gsr with just an exhaust and header and i felt a diff when vtec cracked. its nothing crazy but i felt it was worth it. just make sure you get a type r throttle cable otherwise the stock one will fall off and may cause problems

Exactly what I mean. It's a great addition to a built engine package though!

Tuning will fix that.

you'll also need to custom make a throttle bracket for the skunk mani like my friend did. that or get an ITR one for like 25-30$$

Well just buy a vafc which will change the vtec hit, i put mine at like 5300 and it screams when it happens. Not an easy install, but its worth it.

I kept my throttle cable, and its all tucked and weird looking, but it works, and it never threw any codes. works fine.
