If I run my stock throttle body on my skunk2 manifold would i loose power or should i bore it out. I know this is a dumb question but i dont know the answer.

Its a good idea to atleast upgrade to a Type R TB to get a little more gains from the IM!! My personal prefrence would maybe invest in a spoon TB!! It gives a 70mm diameter than tapers down to 62mm to give some great throttle respnose!!

I matched an ITR TB to my Skunk2 Manifold and I really think it helped out my dyno numbers - and throttle response is quite good in comparison to the stock TB.

I also did this and agree. Throttle responce was much improved. I couldn't go back to that 58mm stock tb.

I thought gsr throttle body was 60mm and the type r was 62mm? Many people i have talked to with bigger throttle bodies say it just gives better throttle response. I'm looking at the erick's racing throttle body, but the smallest they have is a 68mm tapered to 66mm. I believe the opening on the skunk2 manifold is 62mm? Would this cause any problem or render the mod useless?

I would like to also add for the peeps that upgrading to SKUNK2 Im for the GSR you will have to be using a Type R intake!! In most cases ex. AEM Type R intake has a 3in diameter which is much bigger and really needs a largert TB to utilize its full potential!! Just some usefull info im throwing out there!! I dont think anybody wants to be sucking air from a 3in intake into a 60mm TB then into a 62mm IM!!

It would be cheaper to just bore out your stock gsr tb to 62-64mm
