hey guys

used a 1989 Integra upper rad hose (part # 19501-PG6-010) for the dohc ZC in my
'91 Civic Si; I have just noticed that the hose is being pinched at the first bend it
makes coming out of the head (just under the distributor). After removing the hose
and looking at it in plan view, it seems that this first bend as molded into the hose
is much less sharp than required for the fit; thus the hose pinches to about half
of its regular diameter. Has anyone run into this? I will source a 1984 Accord hose
tomorrow,but I have a nasty feeling that this will have the same problem. I beleive
that this is part of the cooling woes I have had with this engine since it was installed
(the other part being the fact that it is a clapped out peice of crap with a jillion miles
on it, that had sat for so many years that it is internally corroded; thanks JK Japanese!).

Any advice?

just go to auto zone and find a radiator hose that fits the same profile as ur car. thats what i did!

 

89 accord worked for me, you just have to trim a little bit by the radiator, nothing hard...

 

I just walked into O'Riellys.. asked for a 84 accord upper radiator hose, paid $12 for it, then went home and chopped about an inch to two inches off the radiator side of the hose. Slid it on and clamped it.. worked perfectly from then on.

 

84 accord is the correct hose

 

I agree the 84 Accord hose works great.
