Default Mushy Brake after Bleeding... Help..

I did search.. but to no avail..

2 AM and I am just finished bleeding the brakes with new SpeedBleeder..
but now the Pedal is a bit mushy.. will this go away after a day?
how many pumps is necessary when using speedbleeder? it was said 5-7 enough..
(I see no bubbles in the tube)

if not, I'll ask We-Todd team tomorrow to help me with my stupid brakes..
damn.. I should've left the brake alone... *sigh*

the pedal should firm up after a couple of hours. assuming, of course, you didn't push the pedal all the way to the floor while bleeding...

Your pedal should firm up after bleeding with about 5 pumps off the pedal with the engine started.

Providing you bled them properly. If not you probably got air in there somewhere.

1. Your pedal should firm up as soon as you close the bleed screw.
2. Bleed the brakes with the Engine running, this way the ABS is pressurized.
3. Run the engine with the bumper facing the outside so you dont die from the exhaust.

If it was mushy before the bleeding also, you didn't do a very good bleeding job. Or you introduced air into the system with your bleeding technique.

sometimes it helps to tap on the brake lines and caliper while bleeding to l00sen up any air bubbles.

Could be a malfunctioning Speed Bleeder. Also did you bleed them with the cap off of the master cylinder? Alot of people say it doesn't matter but I know myself I continuously saw air bubbles coming out of the bleeder when I left the cap off. I put the cap back on and the air bubbles stopped.

i had the same thing too after i bled for the first time w/speedbleeders.

i just re-bled everything again (w/the car off), making sure not to depress the pedal all the way to the floor.
