Default Mugen Lowdowns – Stiffness Problem FIXED!!!

There were a few guys that suggested I try turning the dampening lower than the #1 setting. It turns out that the dampening was a full 360 degrees past #1 and still way beyond the stiffest setting #5. I’m so happy I don’t need to put my stock suspension back on.

The car rides very nice now, very similar to the stock setup in terms of ride comfort. Thanks a ton for you help guys – a couple of you (norice) suggested I try this idea.

Now I can drive 400 miles to the Expo tomorrow without being battered and bruised!

Here’s the R getting soaped up for the Expo!

New custom flat center caps are on the Volks.

A picture from my satisfying evening drive with the Lowdowns on the SOFT setting.

See you guys at the Expo tomorrow!

I hope you didn't use any of the brushes at that public car wash bay on your R...

Have fun at the Expo...

Haha! Those public brushes on a black car in particular would be DEATH to paint! The sad part is that the sign above the brush says, "use brush in place of wash mit".

Not yet. The drop is exactly 3/4 of an inch, just as it is claimed (unlike the with the spoon springs).

Looks good, Josh. I am curious, though, I recently checked out your website, it looks like your brother got an M3. Now, with 60K+ miles, are you already thinking about your next vehicle, or do you plan on keeping the R for some time?
