Slipstream? - these should hold together as good as any other decent wheel. Can't say the same for Subzero or Curcuit 8.

That is a pretty strong statement you made about Rota Wheels. Let me first say that all wheels break under the right stressful conditions due to misuse or simply wear and tear can cause a wheel to crack or bend.

Secondly, Rota wheels are ISO9000 certified which means they meet a certain international quality standard that many countries around the world adhere to. This says a lot to me that they hold this certification. I have seen on this website all kinds of wheels breaking so by saying Rota wheels are bad you are seriously mis-judging the company's products and reputation on this board.

You are entitled to your opinion and i respect that. I just disapprove of it.

One last thing, i personally use Rota Subzero's as my track wheels mated with Yokohama A032R tires which i run hard for 30 min sessions at HPDE's only. I know of others who use them in the ECHC. I always check them regularly to make sure they don't have any hairline cracks or are bent, etc. Wheels are a wear item!

If i remember right, your're probably referring to the highly visible Subaru that busted the subzero. Supposidly he has also busted one of the stock wheels.

Rota simply just good bang for the buck.

Did you or someone you know have a bad experience with them? Except the one pic of the Subaru's busted wheel, I haven't seen anybody have problems with them.

they aren't bad at all, some ppl don't like them just cuz they look too "similar" with some expansive brands and make ppl think your running something fake when it's some real bling sh@t there

No, it was a rota 'subzero' wheel.

Shouldnt spread misinformation.

Wheels are wear items and must be inspected as such for damage - if thats not something you can accept leave the stock alloys on the car. They'll bend before they crack.

Well put Eleanor.

How about also the recent pics of the ADR Wheel broken, or maybe the RH CP8 or TE37 that broke? Wheels break...my $400 set of Rotas has held up to 35,000 miles of daily driven Philadelphia and DC potholes and are doing just fine. Ive been nothing but extremely satisfied with their durability

Yep, very well put. Again, I have seen Honda OEM wheels have hairline cracks as well. With the Subaru incident, Rota of USA replace them with another set plus expense money as well for the same guy. Never once heard any other manufactor do the same thing.

Rotas

Why do you need a reminder??? Either you like them or you dont. Im sure your old enough to tell yourself why you shouldnt buy them and not need others to get your thought process together.

And for 400 a set, who cares if ya break one. Its alot easier to come up with 100 bucks than to come up with 400 for one rim.

To each is their own, but I just feel there's no need to start another"Rota is ****"thread. JMHO

ISO 9000 doesn't mean instant quality! It just means that you have good documentation. A company can build a lead life preserver and be ISO compliant.

That is a completely false statement and represents a misunderstanding of the ISO standard. No one can say that their wheels are certified. Their Quality system only is certified. This makes no predicition as to the quality of their product.

ISO 9000 certification can be achieved irrespective of the superiority or inferiority of the finished product to it's competitors. The only thing one can take from a certified company is that they have a fully documented quality system and it is effective in meeting Rota's quality objectives.

This statement is Rota neutral. Just be realistic about the meaning of ISO certification.
