Default header and vtec kick question

I'm thinking about getting a header for my ITR. I've heard some people say that aftermarket headers raise torque, which reduces the kick you feel when vtec engages. Is that true?

I saw a dyno plot of a ITR with a header and CAI and it looked like it still jumped around 6,000rpm.

Default Re: header and vtec kick question (jond)

get a jdm 4-1 header 2.5 collector...and to finish the rest of the exhaust get custom 2.5 inch hi flo cat and custom piping to a straight through exhaust....i bet you'll feel the difference if u drive that much...it'll feel like it revs easier...it doesn't effect ur vtec...it helps it flow the exhaust gases out MORE EFFIECNTLY = more power
