Comptech filter
I've had my comptech intake for a few months now and I was
thinking about cleaning it and reoiling. But I realized that
comptech never included any instructions of how to take care
of the filter. Does anyone have any tips for the proper way to
clean and oil the filter?
Thanks, Brian

Did this just the other day...
After taking the filter off, spray it good with your filter cleaner and let it stand for a while (3-5 minutes I guess) then rinse well with clean water. If the filter is very dirty you can repeat this process twice. Shake out the extra water and let the filter dry, then apply your oil evenly to the filter.
I let the oil stand, and worked it in a bit with my hands, before putting it back on the engine.

No, it didn't come with the cleaner. I ordered it from Comptech, but may be able ot find some at a motorcycle parts shop. I checked several automotive parts stores and they didn't carry any...
