VSS - vehicle speed sensor

And by the looks of it, it's a mechanical speed sensor.

 

Do you know where the 2 (maybe 3 hoses) connect up to?

 

I think one of the hoses is vent to the outside.

And the others i am not real sure.

There's 2 hose outlets on the side for power steering, and the top "hole" is for the cable to plug into. If your car doesn't have power steering, get a 6" hose and loop the two outlets and cap it off to seal the vacuum. If your car has power steering, then use the hoses in your car and plug them in there. Most likely, you're going to have to get the "U" shaped metal clip for the VSS in order to hold/snap the speedo cable into it.
