How to build a JDM ITR
My friend and I are taking on the task of trying to build a JDM ITR. The problem we are running into is that it is very difficult to find "factory" JDM parts. Can anyone help us out with contact info? We are looking for OEM JDM --- hood, fenders, front bumper and support, headlights, and radiator support. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am another lost soul trying to jump on the jdm bandwagon. I first of all want to make a car that will never be jdm, jdm. I then want to try something that many many other people have done. But yet still think it is unique and creative. Most likely I dont have the budget or brainpower to do this. I cant even figure out how to buy easily accesible parts such as front ends.
I really dont even know what the difference is between jdm and usdm parts are on the DC-2R. Yet I dont want usdm and I certainly want JDM.

I don't know where your ITR came from, but my ITR came straight from Japan.

so skafia, whos side exactly are you on?
j/k
of course itr's are jdm. so why the hell does this guy want to make his jdm car, ummmm jdm?
and skafia, you are capitalizing on his statement that is not 100% solid. you should be a lawyer for sure. someone needs to write 2 pages of legal documentation making the point that a usdm itr made in japan, will never be JDM itr.

Just to play devils advocate here, JDM implies that the car was offered to the Japanese Domestic Market. Although our ITRs were manufactured in Japan, this exact spec model was not offered to the Japanese public. Therefore, there is such a thing as converting a USDM ITR to a JDM ITR.
I rest my case.

First of all Bob, I do happen to know the differences between JDM and USDM. The main reason for changing this particular machine to a JDM ITR is simply because it is that much more asthetically appealling to me, as well as having a couple other advantages. Nothing more, nothing less.
checked your IM, get back to me if you need to. Since I am venturing into this project with a friend of mine, we have rqual say in what to get and where, primarily is it a premium part and is it less expensive than the others. But definitely get the ball rolling and get back to us.
