My Tranny Blew Up.. pics
I went to the track last night and could not get the bitch in gear after a run. This morning I checked out the tranny cause it looked like it was leaking and find this:

i saw that i think. was it the black one that dumped a puddle on the starting line?
you guys had a hatch drag car too right? if so, it was looking good forgot what it ran though.

Your tranny puked the diff pin. Pull it apart and check out the internal damage. If you're lucky, you'll just have to weld the case up and replace the differential.
Diff broke, shattered inside the tranny and blew a hole in the casing. You might as well get a new tranny. Most likely more than a diff got damaged.

I think he needs more than a diff at this point. He needs a casing, diff, and possibley some gears and synchros. I would just get a new tranny and put a quaife in it to make sure this would not happen again.

Yea at this point I am looking for a brand new tranny. Its going to be easier to just slap another tranny on anyways since I can do the labor. I was thinking of using a GS-R tranny if I can find one at a decent price. Would I have to get a new pressure plate and disc if I use the GS-R tranny?

All B series clutches/flywheels are pretty much universal when it comes to an aftermarket part. Just slap on any b series tranny and you will be aight.

Cool, thats what I figured. I was only concerned because ACT list differently gsr and ls clutch kits. But i failed to check part numbers could have been the same.

..... I wanna see snapped axles in 3rd gear... car slamms in to the wall damage
