Y8 Head gasket on an A6?
Can I run an Y8 headgasket on a D16a6 Block with 11:1 compression pistons on a stock head? What compression would it give me? Also would I be able to get a more aggressive camshaft and still be safe? Thanks for the help.
yeah you can run the y8 gasket..it will bump up the compression a tiny bit..
there is a link somewhere that does the calculation for you.. I don't have it here at home... its on my computer at work... Talk to the people you would get the cam from about clearance issues, it depends on what rods and pistons your using.

the y8 HG will bump compression about 0.2 to 0.4 depending on the combination.
11:1 compression pistons...does that mean stock block, head (no mill...valve lapping), stock HG???
need to know more about the pistons...like:
