Wiring Harness For My Old Deck Is Cut
i have a blaupunkt deck right now and i'm installing a kenwood deck...my problem is, the previous owner didn't buy the wiring harness, but instead cut and spliced all the wires together....how do i know which wires go to which?
when it comes to audio and wiring in a car i don't know ****...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

your deck colors should be something like:
constant 12 + : White/ Yellow (always 12 V+)
switched 12+ : yellow/ red (12 V+ when key is ON or in the ACC pos.)
ground: black
power ant. yellow white ( if you have one)
front left speak: blue/ green (+) // gray/ green (-)
rear left speak: Blue yellow (+) // gray / yellow (-)
front right speak red/ Green (+) // brown/ green (-)
rear right speaker red/ yellow (+) // brown/ yellow (-)
the honda rule for speakers is something like Red is passenger side positives, blue is driver side positves, browns and grays are ground.
these colors are for a91 accord, but they should be pretty much the same.

if you cut the blaupunkt harness close enough to the radio, you can just match that left over harness and the kenwood one color for color. Granted that's if you trust the wiring job of whoever put the original blaupunkt in.. which if it worked it musta been ok
