Mugen Header installation tips
Well, yesterday I helped my friend Stephen (Jetydosa) install a Mugen header on his R. After this project (@ 2.5 hours) I have the following tips for others contemplating this installation:
1) Drain radiator - installing this header requires removal of both fans - not just drivers side.
2) You must loosen the bolts holding the lower header mounting bracket to the block - you can't quite get the header onto the studs at the head w/o a little additional clearance.
3) Reset computer afterwards.
O/w this is a reasonably straightforward installation.

How did you manage to get the header around the nipple on the clutch slave cylinder w/o the additional clearance w/ the fans out of the way?
We couldn't get the passenger side fan out without taking loose the top radiator hose.
Stephen also got a check engine light after a few minutes of driving - not sure whether this related to the O2 sensor, or the fact that he seems to get misfire if the car hasn't been driven for @ 10 min or so. Resetting the computer cured the light and it didn't come back in about 15 min of subsequent testing.

i can usually get it right around it. worse comes to worse i just unbolt
the slave cylinder.
did you check to see what the check engine light was for?

You just have to get the header around the clutch slave cylinder and then put it on. After you have done it once you get the knack of it.
I hope you wiped the header down with some alcohol and a CLEAN cloth before starting it.
