Default Tire reccomendations

Alright, after eating up the tires in the lapping day yesterday, I now know I definately need something better.

I am going to get some normal street tires for my JDM 16's to replace the potenza re010's i tore up, I'm not worried about that too much...

But if all goes well I may be buying my neighbors Mazda Mellenia wheels. He has the nine spoke ones, and I think they are 15x6 50 offset.

What tires do you road racers have experience with that will fit 15x6 50mm?.

From talking with fso_bambam at the track, I might consider the Yokohama A032R's, because the 205/50R15 will fit on them fine, but I want to get as many opinions on 15" "race" tires as possible. These will see ONLY racing, and the 25mi treck to and from the track.

I am more concerned with durability because PR eats up tires as I found out yesterday. I am looking to spend under 150ea.

Thanks all!

If you are more concerned with tire wear than ultimate grip, check out the Toyo RA-1. Very forgiving and durable.

I would stay away from the 032s since I am told they get a bit greasy later in a session.

IMO, the overall grip of the A032's is only slightly higher than the Falken Azenis. They feel better, but it's not worth three times as much to me. These are the only two tires I've personally driven on track so anything else would be just speculation.

Friends of mine are running 205/50 Kumho Victoracer V700s.

Heat cycled and shaved, they should last 'alright.'
