under the hood in the engine bay is the fuse box. pull the one for abs. the diagram underneath the fuse box cover will show you which one. your abs light will continue to stay on though.

Really?? Why? There are cars that come w/o ABS, so why is it illegal to remove it?

Guys keep in mind she has a 93.. ABS back then sucked. I have a 90 GS and I feel the same way about it. Sure the newer systems can stop you fast, but the old ones were horrible.
There is a way to remove it, but it requires a lot of patience, and a few parts. I dunno if you've been to g2ic.com but if you haven't, I suggest you go there. In the forum, do a search for "ABS removal" or something. There are a few people that have done it, and one guy listed all the parts you need (not many) and the procedure.

I've never heard so much miss information in my life...and not just from this dum dum, but from quite a few people. First, how the **** does comparing a civic dx that has drum brakes on the back to a TL even make any ******* sense at all. Second: who, why and where the **** did somebody shorten a TL, and if you're smart enough/good enough to shorten a TL then you would be able to keep the ABS...you're full of ****.
A couple other facts. ABS has NOTHING to do with how well your brakes work(as most of you are aware). The only time ABS kicks in is when you lock the tires up. Now if you lock your tires up very often...then you're a dumbass anyway and dont know how to drive and need to keep the ABS. I have a 95 <--- read SN and the ABS on my car blows, it cycles slow as hell, it only locks up in the rain(or if you dont know how to drive and slam on brakes all the time). I wouldnt take it off, because its too much trouble, just pull the light out from the cluster and rock on.
*end rant and rave*

The people who hate ABS are often the ignorant ones.
ABS helps you stay in control of the car under heavy braking. You can stop just fine without ABS, but locking up the brakes is not the most efficient way to stop. You want the tires to be rolling, but still close to the point where they'll lock up. You can do that without ABS, but you'll just have to pump the pedal manually. ABS is automatic and precise.

I don't hate abs I just don't need it and after going and actually finding out what the procedure is to take the system out I will be taking out the fuse and snipping the wires and I belive the ignorant ones are the ones who should learn how to drive with out the aid of abs first and then talk to me I seem to get around town fine

That wasn't directed at you. What I said was meant for the idiot know-it-alls who think ABS is a bad thing.

Ok, assuming since you weren't talking to gsrgirl that it was aimed at me. In which I must say that you are correct about ABS and that locking the tires up isnt the most efficient way to stop. Once again, great for some people...too bad for people who know their car it doesn't help them much. Why? Well if you have ever used ABS you will note that it allows the tire to lock up, then roll, then lock up again(etc etc etc). For some people this is a waste because they know their cars very well and know exactly where their brakes lock up and push them to the limit without actually locking them up. Personally, I think the ABS in my integra blows(and yes I have used it...guess that means Im not the greatest driver in the world that knows his car's limits), but all the same Ive locked my tires up(only once on dry pavement) and ABS didnt do **** at all. In the rain, in which I have locked my tires up several times, the ABS doesnt pulse fast enough and hard enough and the tires dont even "unlock" all the way. I have but one last thing to say "Woot Woooooo"
