Default Skunk2 Coilovers: cutting the bumpstops

So my bumpstops are crumbling due to age and I need to replace them. I had to have to hack up perfectly new condition bumpstops, but seeing how Skunk2 recommends it, I have no choice. How much can I get away with cutting them? Autox/Road Race alot. Mounted to Koni Yellers

I was always under the impression to use the top half of the cut bumpstop, but I could be wrong.

thanks for the info... anyone want to clear up/confirm which half??
To me, the bottom half is beefier and thus you would want to use those.

Anyone have a set of DC2 bumpstops they want to sell?

I was wondering the same thing....so KEEP the smaller in diameter half and chuck the beefier one? Anybody know the reason for doing this, and what would would happen if I cut more than half, less than half or none at all? Is there a better combination for cutting these in the front and in the rear?

I've always heard that if you have V-shaped or cone-shaped bumpstops, when you cut them, use the top part. I guess this would be the fatter, top part.
