Default Schroth harness mounted on C-Pillar?

I just got my Schroth harnesses, they're DOT approved so dont even start on that. Its a 3-point belt, the two chest belts move into 1 behind the seat, and is attachable to the stock belt point in the rear lower bench seat, or at the C-Pillar. Im leaning towards the C-Pillar.

Using the rear belt holes gives the belt better brace angle in the case of a really bad longitudinal collision. Altho, who knows, maybe the less strong seat belt mounts would give out in such a situation.

So mounting the back of the harness in the rear seatbelt holes is an ok idea?

Is that angle greater than 40 degrees. B/c I heard if you mount the harness at anything less than that, upon collion it'll snap your spine.

It will snap your spine because it will snap your seat in two. So the bench mount is stronger than the C-Pillar? I would think the C would be stronger.

I mounted my old 3-point Schroth harnesses on the c-pillar from advice by soloracer.com (exactly as pictured here):

They were awesome despite being 3-points. You'll love 'em, especially for Auto-X. Too bad the thought of a rollover in those didn't sound too good, otherwise I'd still have them.

Those are nice belts for autocrossing. I have a friend that just got one.

These are actually desigend to let loose about three inches of slack in a rollover from the inside chest belt so you can move down lower into the car. They are DOT approved and Volvo is now putting them into their European model cars.

Those belts are bright! Damn, I got the black ones, trying to keep her clean. Thanks for the pic.

Ohh- BTW, how the hell did you get the seat bolts out. I can get them to budge for the life of me. Ive broken two sockets trying.

Yeah, that's why I got the black ones too.

The bolts on my car were pretty easy to take out. Maybe they need a little PB blaster.
