I just installed my Weapon R throttle pulley. It took about 5 minutes maximum. I took the bolt for the existing pulley off, put the new one OVERTOP of the OEM pully, put the cable back on the new one, tightened the bolt. AND END!

My pedal is now 80% stiffer and my responce is about 60% better..

For $60 canadian, I say its a great addition to any young racers!

thats cool. what is so special about this throttle pulley? did you try just making your throttle cable tigher?

 

Tightening your throttle cable in time will stretch the cable and make it more likly to snap, with this little pulley, it shortens the distance between when you step on it and when your car is given gas..

Its like an instant shot of RPMs insted of that delay from OEM

How slow do you think your foot is to mash the pedal? The pulley just increases the ratio of the pedal movement to the throttle blade. Hence giving you no more power and less control over your throttle, which I guess is good for you since you have no need to modulate your throttle around corners

Most of us don't drive like ur granma, any little increase helps, but you should take it easy. Don't wanna get smoked by someone w/a new pulley.

increase in what?? How long does it take you to floor the pedal? about .05 sec. With the new pulley? .049...it doesn't matter. It just gives less control over the throttle. But if it's going to make YOU faster, then by all means....I mean all those other tuner companies must not know their ****, and that's why weapon R beat them to this amazing new piece

He got what he paid for. Don't mean to be an ***, just saying, in theory his throttle response was improved. Even if it was only by .01secs. He will lose some control, just felt like you were a little harsh.

Yeah, it took me a few seconds to figure out what was meant by "throttle pulley". When I think of a pulley, I think of a round wheel looking deal, like an alternator or a/c pulley.

 

Don't be knockin on the throttle rotor, I got a blue one on my GTR (Geo Type-R) and it made a dramatic increase from the red one. I couldn't believe how much faster my car was, my 1320 increased from 24.9 @ 36mph to 24.899 @ 36 mph.
