Default Taking off Door moldings on a EJ1 (2 dr coupe)

hey...I have a Teal green 94 Honda civic Si and my door handles/mirrors are painted the same color as the car, but the door moldings aren't and they are the stock greyish/black color.

If I were to take off the moldings...would I see holes that the moldings clip into or are they put on with double sided tape????

Yeah there is clips that hold them in, I took the inside of the door apart and and squeezed the clips with pliers and kinda just poped them out. And for the piece in front Im pretty sure I broke them and went to honda and bought new ones. The piece to the rear of the door if I remember correctly I think I got to it by taking the plastic covering there from the inside off. I think I cant remeber for sure. HTH

can you fill the wholes with bondo or do they need to be welded shut

Welding is preferred, bondo is a last resort.

weld the holes or use kitty hair (fiberglass), then smooth it over with bondo. if you weld you'll have a pretty good chance of warping the the whole fenders, doors, and quarters, which is a major bitch to fix, so kitty hair is a lot easier.
