Cat bolts...WTF is up with the price?

Default Cat bolts...WTF is up with the price?



Number 5...They are rusted on my cat, I will need to drill them out. They go to 7 bux there!!!, WTF!, Can i just use any normal bolt and lock nut?

you will need the springs -- other than that, just go to a hardware store, and pick up the proper size.

make sure that they are stainless steel; otherwise you will end up with the same rusted mess you began with.

He isnt talking about the ones with the springs.... those connect the header to the cat. He want the ones that connect the cat to the exhaust. I just got mine from home depot. Run down there and grab some... they were pretty cheap

go with grade 8...so much better even if the do rust..stainless is weak!!!grade is a sooo much stronger and will take the heat better, stainless will break after a few months trust me on that one! It has to do with the heating process that it takes to make a bolt grade 8...it can handle the heat unlike stainless. peace

you don't need to drill them out.....just tap them out with a hammer. then buy some nuts and bolts from the hardware store.
