I have a 00 PY itr... I have white itr rims on there right now... I waas thinking about getting them redone in black.... Should i or would it look stupid on factory wheels

 

I think it would look fine.

IMO, black steelies would look better on a yellow ITR than white wheels. I don't like that white wheels-yellow car look.

 

yeah white rims on a yellow R is just plain old nasty. Stick with something dark to offset the color of the car.

 

personally, I like my 97-98's on my PY

 

CW rims on PY is JDM YO

 

I like green rims on yellow personally.

 

Black or the stock gunmetals look the best. Im sure someone around here has a pic of 16" JDM gunmetals on an R, that would look nice.

If you can afford powder coating your existing rims, you can afford buying new rims

Sorry my brother works at a powder coating shop.. so he'd do them for free

Powder coating only cost $250.00 or $370.00 with clear coat over them versus rims like Volk cost $375 - $450 depending, which type of wheel/size you purchase.

Powder coating on rims =

 

I guess if you paint stock wheels black.... OK.
But black wheels in my opinion are hideous. I realize that the trend started with F1, but then again, I liked CART better (they used to use chrome and silver).
Don't you get tired of comments like, "Why'd you spend so much money on wheels that always look dirty ?"
If black wheels were really it, you'd see them on stock cars.

I finally got my black "Yoshi Special" 16" JDM wheels I'd bought what seems like years ago (hehe maybe it was).

Yea, black should looks pretty kool, I would just get the GM ones thogh, I have a black itr and I love them. I would not get anything else but the JDM 16" ones
