Default ecu for jdm gsr

i just purchased a jdm gsr, but it's goin through customs right now....in the mean time i'm starting to gather all the parts needed to build my b18c for all motor, but i'm wondering if anyone has tried this or know what i should expect.....i've heard that a d16z6 ecu will up my fuel curves more than the stock gsr ecu, and the only ecu i have to experiement with is a Gude Performance d16z6 ecu with lower vtec engagement, and no rev-or-speed limiter.....is this safe to try?????

Default Re: ecu for jdm gsr (euroracer94)

first off...what year is ur car?did u get a jdm gsr ecu with it? my personal experiance, i had a jdm b16 in a 96 civic 4dr. i used the skunk2 ecu and skunk2 wiring adapter(obd2 to obd1) i was shifting at 9k killing si and gs-r..i have a redline of 10,500 rpm. but if u get an ecu with no rev limiter..then u might consider getting a piece that MSD sells for a rev limiter.that would be safer and i would recommend it.
