what type of break-in is required for new pads? i was under the impression you couldn't just throw pads on in the AM without having them settle or break in... obviously im not experienced with this stuff, IE have no clue what I'm asking. Just what I've heard.

Most pads come with break-in instructions.
My axxis ultimates said something to the effect of:

Drive 15 minutes without using the brake if possible.
4-6 50mph - 15mph brakes with steady, medium pedal pressure
drive 15 mins without using the brakes if possible
4-6 50 - 15 brakes with steady, hard pedal pressure.
Not sure what after that, but i continued on the highway for 2 hours without using the brake much at all, then parked without using the ebrake overnight.

I plan on breaking in my Cobalt GT-R - VR's on friday morning and letting the car sit all day.

Yeah, thats about what I heard. Just didn't see how it would be possible to break-in the morning of the Expo if they are delivering them. So I had them overnighted.. ouch.

What's left (40%) of my Hawk HP-plus pads front and rear, and my stock pads if I need 'em.

I guess I'm going to break them in early Friday morning and then pack them up for the ride to the Expo.

Am I the only one that still uses Panther Plus?

That's the front; stockers on the rear.
