Well anyway I was ISO cheapo 205/45/16 for my circuit 8's.

I compared prices and found this good deal.

I have them on my car, 205/45/16's.

They are decent tires for the money, about as good as Kumho Ecstas.

As for treadwear, I've only had them on for 3K miles, I just rotated them for the first time... I can't tell any difference in the tread from when they were new!

I'm not impressed with wet traction however. I'd say go with Yokohama AVS ES100's for good wet/dry, or Falken Azenis if you're not going to drive in the rain very much.

ditto

If you are going for a budget tire or something... get like Kuhmo at least. Yokohama ES100's if you can spare.

hankook is now owned by continental??? really?? i never knew that... i was under the impression that it was still owned by the original korean company. hmm... guess not.. oh wellz... for the money.. i would say go with the kumhos... i have had hankooks before and they aren't all that bad but i would still prefer the kumhos which are in the same price range.
