SKunk2 Stage2....vs.....ITR Cams
i have been debating on what to do next to my car for a while now.....i have just found a used pair of ITR cams i/e for $300....is this a good deal...is it worth it over the skunk2 stage 2 cams.....i have heard both are good....no get these, no get these.....what would be a good way to go?????? i plan on doing all of my valve train here shortly maybe early summer.....performance wise which would be best alittle pros and cons if you have any advice.....comments certainly welcomed.....or would i be better trying to find a CTR/ITR cams over the Skunk2's.....
thanks in advance

are you tihking of going forced induction? if so, from those to choices i'd get the ITR. but with FI, i would get turbo cams. and if not FI, then i'd go for skunk2. i bet it'd net you more hp. might wanna put a hondata or VAFC into consideration
Bottom end is stock.....was planning on staying N/A seems like everyone is turboing yeah its cheaper but....really would like to see gains all throughout powerband...i really don't know exactly which cams give bigger gains in which areas.....from any experience does it help and is it worth it.....probably would like to have more gain at the top end than bottom end....thanks
Skunk2 Stage 2's will not do much for you unless you raise your compression to at least 11:1; for optimal results, 11.6:1 or higher (the higher the better)..ITR cams will probably drive and feel better with a stock bottom end. Id get the Skunks with their Valvetrain (installed at the same time) if you plan on building the motor later..or get the ITR cams if you plan on keeping it stock bottom..GSR or custom Turbo cams if you plan on Force Induction..ITR cams are a little too big for FI..Hondata is always a Good thing.
Just saw you new post (JohnnyEG): ITR is good for now..but if you plan to build later then Skunk stage 2's are very good cams..wont beat ITR's in the mid range but what does!
What kind of B18C is it??? C1? C5? JDM?? Also, you might want to lose that Aftermarket Crank..before you start getting bearing and oil pump problems...

with basically what i have done 92 civic 4 dr, B18C, ACT six puck, cam gears, Skunk2 IM, I/H/E, shocks & struts, 16'' rotas w/kumhos, lightend crank pulley........early summer new valve train-springs, retainers, valves......going to stay N/A not spraying or anything.....which cams will deliver more mid-high to high hp gains.....eventually get into the block no time soon....after i get the cams will either get repro. ECU or some type of VTEC controller.......any opinions greatly appreciated guys thanks

thanks for all the advice...yeah its JDM B18C....can you really get those problems from an Unorthodox crank pulley...if so I had no clue...did it the same time as i did the cam gears....plus I have found the ITR cams for $300 both I/E, so thats alot cheaper of a route to, maybe i'll just go with them for now thanks alot 10K2HV
