First question is, I want a GSR but I am aware of the theft prob. What do some of you do to fight the theft? Alarms with the keychain you carry with you that beeps when the alarm goes off? The Club? A glock in the glovebox?

Also...and dont flame me cuz im looking for someone to gimme a straight answer on this...i have a gen 2 ls....can i put a JDM ITR lip on if I buy some kind of OEM kit? What kit will I need...how much will all of this cost? Will it look good with my body lines? Thx alot.

 

If you are afraid of theft, the garage is best. The rest is just things that slow a theif down. I don't think GSRs are that big of a target unless they have tons of mods but that goes with all cars.

 

Alarm, kill switch(s), auto-lock, club.

the itr lip will not fit. there are some people on http://www.g2ic.com (click forums, and either general discussion or exterior) that are working on carbon fiber lips that are close to factory but extend down a little more. similiar to the sigma lip. also, if you can find the factory bodykit, it looks good. i think wings west rs kit is pretty close to the original body kit. it looks good and is subtle.

 

The club really is not something you want to invest in. Its been proven to be un-affective. Id go for an alarm with LCD pager. (Aladdin)

 

i think it's all about layers. club is good. better than nothing. My co-worker's 97 auto civic coupe was attempted on tuesday. They took her registration. Clean entry but they were stupid I guess when it came to tryint to steal.


that civic had no autolocks, no clubs, no alarm. just a stock civic. fug j00 thieves! she didn't do anything to anyone!
