I got some paint for my corners, And the can says Yellow, but the lid is amber.
WTF, i sprayed it out and its pretty ******* yellow. WHats the deal, someone tell me i got the right/wrong color or you have had the same stuff?
I figure i could lay the **** on wet as **** and it would get closer to an amber color

it's supposed to be yellow....mine was. Spray many LIGHT coats and it will settle into a nice amber color

I have proof...

they're crystal clear and smooth...but hard to tell in the pic...

 

the color of the paint should be on the underside of the can. at least thats how they used to do it back in the day.

never trust the cap, always read the color on the can

Well this one said yellow, thats why i was worried.. anyways they came out good...
After about 10 coats they look normal... i hope they don't run, its cold as **** and i layed that **** on real wet...

 

Mine said orange on it and had an orange cap.

 

where did everyone go to purchase their amber paint? the place i went to only had red and blue? perhaps an art store or hardware store?

 

The yellow paint you bought is the right stuff. You have to put like 10 coats on for it to appear amber.

 

If you have a Michaels Craft store, they should have it in all colors. Or any craft store.

don't spray it all on at once, but in layers and it will darken to amber, then spray a uv coat.

 

you guys are doing it all wrong, you have to do ONE thick coat, that way it'll be crystal clear when you're done, and when it's done drying... if you do thin multiple coats it will haze over between coats making it look dull

 

OK i'm going to do this real soon...hopefully tommarow...but i need some security....all these conflictions are makin' me sweaty and itchthy...anyone know the CORRECT way? Does it really matter? WTF???? Oh hell, i'll just drop a bill and get some visions...wait....no i'll spend $3 large and get some paint. FOR THE RECORD...1)What exactly is the correct paint??? 2)What exactly is the correct application method???

 

i've heard that many coats of yellow works, i tried looking for amber at the art store but i guess their is no such thing so you'll have to settle for yellow.
