I called my mechanic today and asked him how much it would cost for him to install a y8 head on my d16y7 engine. He said first I had to get the engine block machined (he either said bored or something else to the block) or else the head wouldnt work. I think he either misunderstood what I was saying, or he doesnt know what hes talking about. I was quite sure that this was a direct bolt on kind of thing (I know its a little more than that but no block boring).
Let me know so I don't waste my money. And on a different subject if I did get the engine block bored would it help any.
Thanks

Tell that guy to take his Snap-On airhammer and stuff it up his ***..
THEN, go buy a HONDA shop manual and do the job yourself.
It's not hard at all. Give yourself a couple of days and just take your time.
Good luck.
