We are efficient. Our inspiration is lethargic English coupled with a burning desire for safety equipment that "has to look good".

You don't want racing harnesses. You want **** to make it *look* like you race.

Stock belts work fine for autocrossing. Ask me how I know.

A proper racing harness requires a proper roll bar and/or cage. And the first time you buckle up a 5/6 point SFI approved belt you will understand why no one does this on the street.

What you are trying to do is use a piece of saftey equipment in a way that is not intended by the manufacturer of the belt or your car.

Have fun when you get in a crash!

They are called "buckles".

So what am I supposed to be jealous of?

Also - "y" is not an accepted contraction for the word "why".

Road racing? Define road racing....... because i assure you its not what you think it is.

You know street racing in florida is a felony and carries mandatory jail time now?

To road race you will need the following:

- 6-point SCCA-Legal rollcage with NASCAR-style doorbars
- 5-6 point harness with fresh SFI certification dates
- Snell SA-2000 rated helmet
- SFI-Approved driver suit
- SFI-Rated gloves
- SFI-Rated shoes
- Nomex socks
- SFI-99 approved seat OR a rigid seatback brace bolted or welded to the cage and bolted to the seat back
- Racing license issued from the sanctionning body you plan to race with (requires schools to get this)

Now maybe you are mistaking HPDEs for road racing. If that is the case then you REALLY want to use the stock belts unless you:

- Have rollover protection
- Are Zygspeed

Note that road racing and HPDE are not even close. The only similarity is they both involve cars going fast on a track.
